Welcome to the website of Canton Chorus, a thriving and ambitious community choir based in the Cardiff suburb of Canton. As a community choir we are open to everybody – new members don’t have to undergo any form of audition. All we look for is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn; although the ability to read music is an advantage, it’s not a requirement.
We're looking forward to making a joyful noise on the last Saturday evening of January in St John's Church, Canton with a concert of Poulenc, Mendelssohn and Coleridge Taylor - see our flyer below. Our soloists will be Erin Alexander, Victoria Illsley, Mezz Davies and Andre Soares
Attention all singers! We're hosting a fundraiser for the Tenovus charity in the form of a come-and-sing rehearsal and performance of part 1 of Handel's Messiah on Saturday 2 December. Conducted by our old friend Ben Pinnow and with an orchestral accompaniment from Cardiff Concert Orchestra, the occasion should be an appropriate curtain-raiser for the Christmas season.
