Annual General Meeting

The Choir's AGM will be held  during the rehearsal break on October 23rd 2024. Brief annual reports and accounts will be presented and votes taken to elect the 5 Trustees. Seconded nominations should be sent by email to the Secretary, Anna Brazier (annabrazier@me.com), well before the meeting. All our current Trustees have agreed to stand again:

Other roles and part reps are not elected at the AGM.

Rehearsal Schedule Autumn 2024

The rehearsal schedule for the Autumn Term is now available, giving members the opportunity to become familiar with the relevant sections of the Britten and Brahms before each rehearsal.  Rehearsal Schedule

Member Survey Summer 2024

During the summer of 2024 Neil Schofield, on behalf of the Planning Group, authored and circulated a questionnaire to all choir members. The questionnaire asked members particularly about membership fees, repertory, concert frequency, fund-raising and  recruitment plus any other suggestions. Planning Group Meetings

Canton Chorus is a registered charity: No. 1166663. We hold Planning Group meetings on Zoom at least four times a year. The Planning Group routinely consists of Trustees (Five elected annually at our AGM), Part Reps, Librarian, Communications Lead, Web Site Lead, co-opted choir members, and our Musical Director. Choir members are asked to raise items with Part Reps or, if they wish, ask the Chair to arrange their attendance at a meeting.  Records of each meeting are posted below - click on the date and the PDF file will open in a new tab and can be downloaded if required.
